The Monument is located near Theodore Roosevelt Dam and Lake, just east of Phoenix. The Park entrance is thirty miles from Globe (Highway 88).

Open year round. Peak visitor month is March. Climate: January, 36 to 76 degrees F; July, 80 to 108 degrees F. Average annual precipitation, 0 - 8 inches. October to early June weather is pleasant.
POINTS OF INTEREST
These well-preserved cliff dwellings were occupied during the 13th and 14th centuries by Salado Indians who farmed in the Salt River Valley.
Overnight accommodations, food, and supplies may be obtained in the Globe-Miami and Payson areas. Be alert for rattlesnakes, gila monsters, and steep trails and slopes. Stay on the trails.
